The Honda CRf450R is a very fast dirt bike. Its actually made for the road with lights, signals, turn signals and horn making it street legal in most countries. You can ride one on city streets but you might get stopped by police because it's not that obvious that it's a legal motorcycle.
The new Honda 450r has an engine displacement of 450cc, (449 cc), the power is around 39.8 hp with torque at 30 ft/lbs. Its an all time four stroke motorbike with a 6 speed semi automatic transmission and weighs in at 182kgs.
This 450 CRF dirt bike has a very upright riding position that lets you see everything around you making it easy to manoeuvre through street traffic.
The ground clearance is 13 inches, which isn't terrible, but it's not as high as its brother the CRF450X dirt bike, which has 14 inches of clearance. Despite this fact, you can still make little leaps with this street legal dirt bike; the suspension is comparable to some mx bikes, so don't be scared to hit something.
The 450 dirt bike honda is very fast and the tires are dirt bike type 'knobbies' , not street tires, but they're still street legal. The front tire is 110/100-19 and the rear tire is 130/80 -18.
This bike has good brakes with dual discs up front; if you buy it make sure to get an after-market brake lever to make it more effective, at times the stock brakes can be a little weak.
If you are looking for a dirt bike that you can do some on and off road riding with then this might be your next bike. It's also good if you want to learn some motocross and then get a real motocross bike later on :)
Some say that the 450r does have more power, but it doesn't really need that much power to do what it needs to do. If you want any more power i would recommend getting an aftermarket exhaust, air filter and throttle body.
It's not only good for the dirt roads but also good on city streets because it's very light and nimble to handle.
Another good thing about this bike is that the trunk is removable to turn it back into a dirt bike. The best things about this bike are its price, size, power and ease of use for beginners or riders looking for an entry level bike with a honda crf supermoto configuration.
